The Suspect "Players"
Producing the interactive murder mysteries performed by The Suspect Players has been a dream of Al & Peg Woltz for many years.
Bringing audience involvement to a comedy show has been our goal. Our audiences everywhere in the mid-Atlantic area gain an appreciation for the art of improvisational acting, and at the same time are entertained without being scalped.
REGULAR TROUPE MEMBERS
Al Woltz - Owner/Director, Actor, and Casting Director, has been involved with the Suspect Players since 2000. Performing on stage and in dinner theaters has long been his love, second only to his beautiful wife, Peg. He has been performing since the age of 16 in musical theater, comedic theater, and Shakespearean productions on countless stages in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC and Delaware, including the Covered Bridge Theater, Cockpit-in-Court, Phoenix Festival Theater, Spotlighters Theater, and Fells Point Corner Theater.
Peg Woltz - Owner/Writer, Stage Manager, and impromptu actor as required, has been a part of the troupe since 2004. Peg avoids being in the limelight since the stage gives her "butterflies." She prefers the role of coordinator and loves the creative side of our endeavor with her long-time love and husband, Al. Peg now develops our new scenarios and ensures that our previously written storylines are updated and relevant. She has been an owner since 2009, but was previously involved in the organization and production processes of our shows.
Allan Herlinger - Allan Herlinger is a veteran of community theater as producer, director and actor.
GUEST APPEARANCES
Eleni Densmore
Joshua Lovejoy - Josh waited until his senior year in high school to discover the excitement and adventure of theatre but then became enamored with performing on stage. While in college, he worked in community theater, starring as Jack Worthing in "The Importance of Being Earnest." After taking several drama classes in college, Josh took a short hiatus but soon returned to his passion and minored in theater. During this time, he assumed the roles of Scoop in "The Heidi Chronicles" and Barry Champlain in "Talk Radio." Theater continues to be a constant in Josh's life as he works with youth on their improvisational and scene development skills through Theatreworks, a non-profit childrens' theater program. Josh now performs regularly with The Suspect Players as he assumes the various unusual roles which he develops with his improvisational theater skills.
